Did i get my period cuz my mom said i did?

ok so mii... has been hurting all day i went home used the bathroom and then i saw blood on the toilet paper.. it looked like it.. so then i saw blood on my undies.. same kind so i went to my mom she said i did.. and she put the thingys on my underwear and i didnt see blood on it after like 10 min.. is that normal? and now i can have babies?? which i wont want to and what happens when u get ur period (.)?
