What kind of Dog is right for me?

I want a minature dog that i can hold and hug easily. Id love it to be furry/fluffy. I want it to have soft hair. I dont want alot of shedding. I want it to be calm and not hyper all the time. It want it to be independent because it will be left alone from around 9am to 2pm on working days. I dont want drooling. I dont want it to be too loud like during the night and stuff. Its needs to be good with children.I have a medium size garden. I have a 2 story house. I own 2 Hamsters. I dont live in a very noisy place. I was thinking about getting an American Eskimo-Miniature it was perfect but it cant be left home alone so...help?
