Is there temp fix for a bad catalytic converter?

if its bad and actually clogging up on it drilling holes in it wont help it much,you,d need a hole the size of the tail pipe to actually help it,if it is clogged though don't drive it ,because it will cause the engine to overheat and possibly blow a head gasket,or do more severe damage to the engine,good luck.
