I heard the military prefers PRK over the flap creation of regular LASIK. For example, in Special Forces, PRK has a blanket waiver, but LASIK does not. Is the reasoning behind this that PRK heals stronger in the long run? In that case, would PRK be suggested for anyone with an active lifestyle, from skydiving to Jujitsu? I also do lots of wold travelling, so would PRK be suggested because flap complications in the middle of nowhere would be... bad?
